Project Challenges and Outcomes

Challenge

DLA+ was tasked with renovating a vacation home in Naples, FL. It was important for the owners to create an open floor plan, update the kitchen and all bathrooms, rebuild the pool to include a lap pool, and establish convenient lake access.  

Outcome

The spacious first floor has an open concept with exceptional views of the lake. The kitchen opens to the family room which has two sets of sliding glass panel doors that lead to the patio. The kitchen’s wet bar serves as a divider to the dining room. From the living room, three sets of French doors open to a covered patio. The first floor has a master suite with sliding glass panel doors overlooking the lake and an additional two bedrooms, each with en suite bathrooms. Two bedrooms and bathrooms and a game room are located on the second floor.  

The expansive outdoor living space includes both a covered outdoor living space and open patio. The pool now has a 70-foot-long lap lane and integrated spa bordering the lake. The use of the sliding glass panel doors create a seamless transition from the indoor spaces to the outdoor living area.
