PROJECT CHALLENGES AND OUTCOMES

Challenges

With a limited footprint and site constraints, the design team worked to accommodate the program that Pitt desired in the space inside of these confines. To meet the team's needs, this project was delivered via a fast-track delivery schedule to be online for the upcoming football season.

Outcomes

Working collaboratively, the team designed two custom, fully recessed pools with enhanced graphics, lighting and sound systems, and reconfigured space to provide an underwater treadmill and storage. Largely minimalist and modern, the focal point of the room is a large, illuminated Panther Head that is on axis to the adjacent training room, connecting both spaces visually.
