It was announced in August that DLA+ will be designing Project Cares in Downtown Pittsburgh. The new 45,000 SF building will be a sanctuary and support facility for people experiencing homelessness in Pittsburgh. The shelter will include a welcome and intake center with staff offices, work and support spaces, health clinic, drop-in hygiene center, community center, congregate sleeping and single occupancy rooms, and dining and kitchen facilities.
